Recipe Shower

Two friends from church, Mrs. Tyler and Mrs. Linda, hosted a recipe shower for me on March 2. Mrs. Tyler taught me in the 2nd grade! She also lives a beautiful house on Lake Marion. Her whole family have green thumbs and her yard is just beautiful. All the ladies from our church and some ladies from another church in town were invited. I just love recipes so this was a lot of fun for me. Mom had gotten me the cutest recipe binder with plastic page protectors. As the ladies arrived they gave me their recipe and I read it aloud for everyone to hear and then Mom put it in the book. I got some really great ones and have already tried out 2 or 3 of them just in the past week. The ladies served cheese dip, spinach dip, cream cheese with pepper-berry jelly, lemon and pecan tarts, ham delights, fresh fruit, divinity, cheese straws, and chicken salad.
