Family Heirloom

I inherited some beautiful antique furniture from my Nana, my dad's mom. And I also inherited the contents of said antique furniture. There was quite a bit of sterling flatware included with one piece of furniture and I do love sterling! Well, tonight I pulled out all the silver from Nana's collection so that I could give each piece a good polishing. Luckily almost every piece cleaned up beautifully and I now have quite a collection of pieces to use for many years to come that can be mixed and matched with what Mom let me have of her set. Among the treasures there was this piece:


If you look closely, you will see this piece is engraved with a "T" which can only mean that this fork belonged to my great-grandmother quite a long time ago. I don't know what pattern it is, but it's quite lovely. I will certainly treasure it and keep it safe and polished. Pretty cool, huh?
