New ideas for old furniture

The cable guy came today to move the Roadrunner connection from its former inconvenient spot in the den to a more appropriate location in the office. This means that I can now complete the office/craft room! Yipee!!! Well, the other news is that the guy first drilled a hole into the wall of the wrong room, that room being the guest bedroom. So we got an extra connection for free and if one day we want to switch the bedroom and office, we will already have a connection in that room.

Next on the itenerary: Getting the other file cabinet, which along with the exising cabinet will serve as the foundation for the great, new, long desktop with room for ALLLLL of our technical needs.

Well, the office currently houses several pieces of furniture that we don't, or didn't, intend to keep. One piece is an old computer desk of Dave's that, although sturdy and functional, doesn't give me enough area for working and isn't that attractive. The other piece is an old table that Anitra's mom found at a yard sale quite a few years ago and she gave to me. This table has travelled with me from apartment to apartment to apartment to house. It's really a great table, very sturdy, perfect height, and big enough for studying or doing craft projects AND I think it's really cute. Well, as we walked through the house deciding the fate of these 2 pieces along with two MORE tables, I decided I would get rid of the first 2 pieces. But as I looked at the yard sale table and took pictures of it so I could send them to my friends to see if they wanted it, a lightbulb went off! This table would make a great coffee table if we cut the legs off! Dave agreed. So we have another fun project to finish, or rather to refinish.
