My First Wedding Party

On February 2, Mom's Domino Queen friends hosted a gift card shower in honor of our upcoming wedding. The Domino Queens get together one night a month to play, well, dominoes. The Queens are (left to right) Mrs. Jennie, Ms. Rhona, Aunt Linda, Mrs. Debbie, Mrs. Kathy, and Mrs. Tami.


The ladies did a wonderful job and everybody had so much fun. A few of the ladies gathered some beautiful foiliage from their yards and put together some beautiful arrangments including the one in this picture. They served a delicious afternoon treat of chocolate delight with roasted pecans and strawberries with chocolate sauce.

All the guests really got into the gift card shower idea. And they were very enthusiastic as I was opening the gift cards. You can see some of them in the pictures below doing a version of the wave as I announced what card I'd just received.

Dave and I received some awesome gift cards. I even scored a few for myself only (i.e. manicure certificates!!!). It was really special to have my Aunt Tricia and cousin Debbie drive down for the party.

It was also great to have Anitra, Abby and Mrs. Karon (left to right) drive down for the party. Abby was such a doll and seemed to really enjoy herself.

Thanks to everyone who made the day special including all the hostesses and guests. It was a great day.
