Halloween is here!

I love Halloween! I love the cool weather, the spoooooooky feeling in the air, the candy, the colors, the decorations, everything about it! And it's that time again even though it seems like it was Halloween just a few weeks ago. I put up a few decorations to really get the mood set. Dave and I are also planning to dress up to hand out candy! I know, we are dorks. But at least we have fun, right? I got some really adorable Halloween socks to wear with my new shoes which I have fallen in love with (you know the kind that every time you walk by a mirror or reflective surface, you check them out again). And Dave and I will go pick out our pumpkins for carving either tonight or tomorrow. Last year I made my own Halloween CD to play during Trick-Or-Treating time including two of my favorites, Monster Mash and Thriller. You know the video for Thriller still gives me the creeps!

The pine cones began their annual descent last week indicating that fall is in full swing!

So in five short days, we'll lock all the kitties up so as to prevent their unfortunate escape, don our silly wigs and get-ups, dress the pups in their favorite tee shirts, queue that spooky CD up in the Bose Wave radio (for maximum effectiveness!), sweep the pine cones off the walkway (to prevent lawsuits over broken ankles, of course), light all our pumpkins and luminaries, fill our candy bowl with tasty treats, and wait for the kiddies to ring the bell! I can hardly wait!!! Woooooooooo!

We are looking forward to Halloween, too! We hope you will come home to see our pumpkin this weekend. She misses her Auntie Emily!

I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way. It must come from growing up in Cameron. This will be the first year that as an adult I will be home and in a house in a neighborhood where I can give out candy. Zach thinks I am a dork, but I am so excited. People don't come to Four Holes for candy ya know & we left Cameron when I was 10. :) I am just so excited! I have a witch's hat, a cute halloween t-shirt, and a cauldron to hold the candy!!

You're right, Rebecca. I guess it probably is due to growing up in the country. I was telling Dave that Halloween kinda stunk for me as a kid. It was pretty lame to have to drive like 3 or 4 miles between candy stops. Ha!

And Melissa, tell O that I'm coming to hold her tomorrow! I cannot believe how she's grown!
